Unless otherwise specified, all services are priced at £25 an hour for virtual sessions or £30 for face-to-face sessions in your home. I am also able to set homework for an additional £5 per week.
Proofreading
Sometimes, when you’re reading and re-reading essays, it can become difficult to spot your own mistakes. I will spellcheck, optimise formatting, paraphrase to provide clarity and check the accuracy of your references – all for just £20 per hour.
Poetry
I can offer tuition on writing or reading poetry, useful for those about to take their GCSE Language exams or even those who want to unleash their creative spark.
English as a Foreign Language
This service can be offered to children and adult alike – it’s never too late to learn a new language!
Phonics and Reading
Phonics is the method of reading at the most basic level: recognising letters and the sounds they make. I can help early readers with this, using a variety of engaging games, activities and resources. Of course, reading is a skill that extends the early phonics stages. From comprehension to GCSE Language and beyond, I can offer support with full books, unseen texts or the GCSE Anthology (any exam board).
Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar
The key to a good piece of writing – fiction or non-fiction – is accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar. Learn or revise the rules and irregularities of the English language, including advice on how to check your own spelling, punctuation and grammar in the future.
